Another AT50 from the Netherlands

Hello everybody,

Recently I bought a Tomos AT50 and it isn't running at the moment. The previous owner removed the engine from the moped for revising of the engine but never started it. So I have never driven it yet .

Next week I'm going to start with the revising the engine en replace the crankshaft (that was the problem says the previous owner).

While I'm doing that, I also want to make it perform like an BT50. Here are some pictures of it now:

I've bought second hand some spare parts, like the buddyseat, rear light indicators and new front light.
Here is the second hand buddy seat on my AT50:

The plans for me are:
- Buy a BT50 cylinder
- Replace the flywheel with an new modern A35 type that gives 12V80W
- A new exhaust(Izpuh)
- (Not completely sure) Paint it original color and decalls (Nalepke)


Do you guys from this forum have any tips for things I can buy to replace on my moped to make it any better or when I have my engine open to just replace?

Nice looking moped. Don't buy that LASER exhaust I heard the paint isn't very good and chips off very fast.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't expect much for that price, but thank you for the info. The other option is then buy a hand made one I guess.

If you going to rebuild an engine you will also need gasket set

sprocket if they are in bad condition

and you can also change the ball bearings (kroglični ležaj in Slovene) and sealing rings (tesnilni obroč)

There is also a catalog of spare parts so check what you have and what you need so you don't have to order it twice, because shipment probably won't be cheap and you probably can't get those parts in your country
